Improvisation #4
This is one of the improvisations we did the second time that the four of us played together, the one time previous being really a rehearsal/tryout with Pete.
The players are Greg Merritt vocals/guitar, Ron Thaler drums, Peter Remm on keys, and Arthur Sadowsky on bass.
Bike in the Brook
This is an improvisational jam that wound up on the CD Everything Changed. This version however is a different mix, and goes much longer than the one on the CD. It's closer to how it sounded at it happened. The audio is from the reference mix I took home the day we recorded it.
Out There
This is one of the songs we did at the Flower Harvest Festival in Pulaski NY, a festival which benefits the family of David "Hobo" Cowles, Jr. It was about 45 degrees and raining that day. The people there were a very dedicated jam crowd, and also very dedicated to honoring the memory of Hobo.
TV Tune
I put this video collage together. 3rd track on Everything Changed. Kind of snapshots of my childhood memories of watching television, and more.
I guess you could say my opinion of TV isn't very high. Television creates a light trance state whereby information is rather easily sent to the subconscious mind of the audience. And I don't tend to agree with what the media likes to do with that power.
Fortunately music, especially improvisational music, also creates light trance states. Maybe personal enjoyment and/or exploration is a better use of this power of the mind as opposed to letting someone else fill us up with garbage ideas wants and desires...
